RISCO -- A fast start in each half propelled Risco to an 84-69 homecoming win over Southland on Friday.

En route to its fourth straight win, Risco opened a 19-8 first-quarter lead in the Tri-County Conference matchup. The third quarter was also key as Risco outscored Southland 19-13.

The Tigers (8-8) improved to 4-2 in conference play.

"The guys really played well and everyone got involved," said Risco coach Brandon Blankenship, who got double-figure scoring from four players and six or more points from four others. "We're starting to peak at the right time."

Andrew Halford led the Tigers with 20, followed by Ricky Davis' 15. Robert Fowler and Rodulfo Johnson scored 10 apiece.

Shanyne Cole topped Southland with 25 points. Justin Kersey added 18.

LEOPOLD -- Oran grabbed a nine-point halftime lead and won on the road.

Chase Seyer netted 23 points for the Eagles, and Robert Lange added 14.

Matt Stoverink led Leopold (4-9) with 23, followed by Tyler Clubb with 10.
