SCOTT CITY -- Myrtle Fern Finley, 93, died Friday, May 5, 2006, at her home. Born Aug. 29, 1912, at Zalma, daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Effie Wills Stephens, she was a member of New Life Gospel Center in Scott City. SCOTT CITY -- Myrtle Fern Finley, 93, died Friday, May 5, 2006, at her home.

Born Aug. 29, 1912, at Zalma, daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Effie Wills Stephens, she was a member of New Life Gospel Center in Scott City.

On Nov. 15, 1934, at Benton, she married Oliver Thomas "O.T." Finley who preceded her in death on May 6, 1994.

Survivors include: five sons, Jerry Finley, Steve Finley and Thomas Finley of Scott City, Richard Finley of Arnold and Larry Finley of Sikeston; four daughters, "Mary Ellen" Culbertson of Chandler, Ind., Bobbie Gipson of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Margaret Gott and Beverly "Kay" Cotton of Scott City; three sisters, Roxanna Mouser of Cape Girardeau, Alberta Alstott of Indianapolis, Ind., and Roberta Jackson of Granite City, Ill.; and 25 grandchildren, 31 great-

grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers.

Services were held at 2 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating.

Burial followed in Mount Zion Cemetery at Scott City.
