NEW MADRID -- Claudius H. "Dude" Clark, 85, died Nov. 7, 2007, at the Golden Living Center in New Madrid.
Born July 6, 1922, in Jonesboro, Ark., he was the son of the late Claude and Edna Reno Clark.
On Dec. 12, 1941, he married Dorothy Johnson who preceded him in death in Sept. 1970. On Dec. 14, 1985, he married Ruth Patterson Clark who survives of New Madrid.
Other survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, James E. and Carolyn Clark of Chillicothe, Ill., Tony Clark of Morton, Ill., and Tim and Judy Clark of Morley; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Carolyn Cobb of Circle City, Dianne and Bobby Clark of Kennett and Donna and Ronnie Glidewell of Cape Girardeau; and 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Louise Ash.
He was preceded in death by: one son, Harold Clark, one granddaughter, Shawna J. Cobb; and two brothers and four sisters.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Bud Evans will officiate.
Burial with full military rites provided by the American Legion Post No. 595 Honor Guard will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
