DEXTER -- Mary Evelyn Ormerod, 87, died Nov. 7, 2007, at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield. Born Dec. 20, 1919, in Portageville, to the late John Lee and Mary Susan Worth Atwill, she had lived in Clearwater, Fla., for over 40 years before moving to Dexter in 2004. DEXTER -- Mary Evelyn Ormerod, 87, died Nov. 7, 2007, at the Golden Living Center in Bloomfield.

Born Dec. 20, 1919, in Portageville, to the late John Lee and Mary Susan Worth Atwill, she had lived in Clearwater, Fla., for over 40 years before moving to Dexter in 2004. She was a retired self-employed beautician and a member of the Baptist Church in Florida.

In Pawtucket, R.I., she married Robert H. Ormerod who preceded her in death in 2001.

Survivors include: one daughter, Faye Strauser of Dexter; two stepsons, Robert H. Ormerod II of Schenectady, N.Y., and Ronald H. Ormerod of Naples, Fla.; two brothers, Gerald Nathanel Atwill of St. Louis and Kenneth Allen Atwill of Attleboro, Mass.; and 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Graveside services will be conducted at a later date at the Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park Cemetery in Clearwater, Fla.
