CHARLESTON - Earline Davis Petty, 78, died at 9:28 a.m. Jan. 9, 2006, in the St. Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau.

Born Nov. 24, 1927, in Henson, to the late Jobe and Florence Jones Steward, she lived most of her life in Mississippi County, was a homemaker and of the Nazarene belief.

On June 4, 1946, she married Raymond Carl Davis, who preceded her in death on July 24, 1965. She later married Forest Leroy Petty, who preceded her in death on Aug. 10, 1981.

Survivors include: one son, Michael Davis of Bertrand; two daughters, Vonna Delay of Charleston and Betty Glenn of New Madrid; one sister, Zelma Macko of Independence; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. Wednesday until time for services at 1 p.m. at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Martin Lucas will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Anniston Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Brian DeLay, Ben Arbeiter, J.J. Black, Brandon Fairhurst, Tom Rychnovsky, Shawn Wilson and Melville Macko.
