CAPE GIRARDEAU - Nada Ellen Bradford, 97, died Jan. 8, 2006, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. Born Oct. 23, 1908, in Diehlstadt, the daughter of the late W.A. and Nettie McGinnis English, she was active in the Morley community and school district. She later worked as a bookkeeper for Scott County Courthouse in Benton and B&B Salvage Co. in Jackson and as activity director for Cape LaCroix Nursing Home. CAPE GIRARDEAU - Nada Ellen Bradford, 97, died Jan. 8, 2006, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born Oct. 23, 1908, in Diehlstadt, the daughter of the late W.A. and Nettie McGinnis English, she was active in the Morley community and school district. She later worked as a bookkeeper for Scott County Courthouse in Benton and B&B Salvage Co. in Jackson and as activity director for Cape LaCroix Nursing Home. She was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church.

She first married W.E. Anderson on July 21, 1924, in Diehlstadt, and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1968. She later married T.C. Bradford on July 18, 1980 in Oran; he preceded her in death on May 28, 1994.

One son, three brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: three daughters, Wilma Faye Friga and Mary Ann Baker, both of Cape Girardeau and Francys Marie Winder of Lewiston, Idaho; two stepsons, Dr. John Bradford of Bardstown, Ky., and Larry Bradford of St. Louis; two stepdaughters, Sharon Klein of St. Louis and Sarah Bradford of Sadieville, Ky.; and four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, 11 stepgrandchildren, 11 great-stepgrandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren and great-great-stepgrandchildren.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. Thursday until time for services at 1 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau with Dr. Derek Staples officiating.

Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Morley.
