OXFORD, Miss. -- Loleta Bard "Tootsie" Wing, 85, died Nov. 18, 2007, at Baptist Northwest Hospital in Oxford.
Born Feb. 27, 1922, in Bayouville, Mo., daughter of the late Joseph Burris and Mary Perneitha Lindley Bard, she was a former franchisee of KFC in Tupelo, Starkville and Meridian.
Her husband, William Ralph "W.R." Wing, preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Terry Lee Wing; and seven siblings, Sonny Bard, Marvin Bard, Fostine Fugate, Carl Bard, Ike Bard and Jack Bard. Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Ralph and Della Sue Wing of Oxford; a daughter-in-law, Judy Wing of Meridian; eight brothers and sisters, Gladys Brown of Clarksville, Tenn., Frankie Pulhamus, Bernita Hopkins, Barbara Cohen, Mary Gabler and Mackie Gene Bard, all of Glen Carbon and Edwardsville, Ill.; and several grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, Mo., where services will follow immediately with Aubrey Wilson, minister of the East Prairie Church of Christ, officiating.
Burial will follow in the East Prairie Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Jason Bard Wing, Judson Eric Wing, Todd Wing, Blake Wing, John Gibson and L.K. Kinney.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Donald Broussard, Louis Cohen and Jack Gabler.
