CHAFFEE - Michael Huey, 61, died at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 15, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Born Oct. 22, 1943, in St. Louis, son of the late Joel and Avis Lorene Mansker Huey, he was a retired truck driver with Jerry Lipps Trucking of Cape Girardeau. ...

CHAFFEE - Michael Huey, 61, died at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 15, 2005, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Oct. 22, 1943, in St. Louis, son of the late Joel and Avis Lorene Mansker Huey, he was a retired truck driver with Jerry Lipps Trucking of Cape Girardeau. He was a past master of the Chaffee Masonic Lodge 615 and a member of the 32 Degree Scottish Rite Free Masonry at Valley of St. Louis, Chaffee V.F.W. Post 3127, Chaffee Elk's Lodge 1810 and Calvary Baptist Church in Chaffee. He was a Vietnam war veteran.

On Sept. 17, 1988, he married Hope Kennedy who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: four sons, Michael Huey Jr., Charles C. Huey and Tim Huey, all of Cape Girardeau, and Charles M. Huey of Chaffee; three brothers, Joel Huey of Scott City, Kenny Huey of Marble Hill and Steve Huey of Perkins; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel, with Masonic rites at 7 p.m., Rose Croix service at 7:15 p.m. and Chaffee Elks service at 7:30 p.m.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jack Bishop officiating.

Burial with full military services by the VFW will follow at Union Park Cemetery in Chaffee.

Pallbearers will be: Tim Cannon, Wade Sanders Jr., Charles M. Huey, Jack Rubel, Harold Cobb and Steve Whistler.
