Wilson named to state board
JEFFERSON CITY-- Troy Wilson of Sikeston was confirmed as an member of the Missouri Development Finance Board. The board assists with infrastructure and economic-development projects in Missouri.
"With Troy's extensive background in management, marketing and the financial service industry, he is undoubtedly qualified to be on this board," said Sen. Jason Crowell, R-Cape Girardeau, who sponsored the appointment. "His familiarity with the intricacies of cost analysis and business development will be valuable to the board as it continues to finance public infrastructure improvements to enhance Missouri's economy."
Wilson has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Oklahoma and a master's degree in business administration studies in finance from Oklahoma City University and Wharton School of Finance. He is the president and CEO of Montgomery Bancorporation Inc. and Montgomery Bank, as well as the former chairman of Missouri Bankers Association.
The governor appoints members of many state agencies, commissions and boards. Appointees then work with their state senator, who acts as a sponsor in the process of confirmation, which begins before the Senate's Gubernatorial Appointments Committee and concludes with a consenting vote by the full Senate.
Crowell presented Wilson to the Senate last week and received unanimous approval.
