NEW MADRID -- Kimberly Joann Meeks Earnest, 40, formerly of Mississippi County, died at 5:10 p.m. Feb. 20, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Oct. 2, 1965, in Charleston, daughter of Robert Gene "Bob" Meeks of Wyatt and the late Barbara Jean Peevyhouse Meeks, she had lived in New Madrid since 1998 and was of the Assembly of God belief.
Survivors include: one son, Kenny Patterson of New Madrid; one daughter, Shannon Vinson of East Prairie; three brothers, Bill Morgan of Shawneetown, Bob Morgan of Dexter and Robbie Meeks of Wyatt; one sister, Shanna Hardin of New Madrid; and two grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Gerald Penn, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church in Charleston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Allen, Frankie Allen, Allen Lindley, Jason Earnest, Don Earnest Jr. and Eric Morgan.
