SIKESTON - Lindsay C. Jordan, 80, died Feb. 18, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. SIKESTON - Lindsay C. Jordan, 80, died Feb. 18, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Oct. 27, 1925, in Ullin, Ill., to the late Charles and Eleanor Ulmer Jordan, he had lived over 27 years in Missouri. He was a graduate of Karnak High School and a veteran of World War II, with honorable discharges from the United States Navy and Air Force. He was employed by Westvaco Paper Mill in Wickliffe, Ky., a member of the Westend Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston and past president of the Cavalier Club in Cairo, Ill.

On June 7, 1953 he married Sylvia White who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Ronnie Jordan of Atlanta; two daughters, Audrey Jordan and Charlene Jordan of Atlanta; two brothers, John Jordan of Chicago and Theodore Jordan of Metropolis, Ill.; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the West End Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston. The Revs. James Jackson and Chester Yarber will officiate.

Burial with full military honors provided by Pulaski County VFW Post 8891 will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the National Cemetery at Mound City, Ill.

Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
