Mary Colove

DEXTER - Mary M. Colove, 68, died Jan. 17, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Nov. 6, 1937, in Naylor, daughter of the late Joe and Hattie Jennings Whitaker, she was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Dexter and a self-employed accountant.

On July 28, 1962, in Whitewater, Calif., she married William H. Colove, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Terry Colove of Dexter and Mike Colove of the state of California; one daughter, Debbie Cogle of Dexter; one brother, Joe Whitaker of Dexter; one sister, Betty Stevens of the state of Maryland; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. at the First Pentecostal Church in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Robert Bentley officiating.

Burial will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
