BERNIE - Paul Perkins, 94, died Jan. 26, 2006, in the Malden Nursing Center.
Born Sept. 24 1911, at Farmersburg, Ind., son of the late David L. and Della Petty Perkins, he was an artist and wood crafter of furniture. He was a member and a minister of music at the Bernie Christian Church.
On Feb. 26, 1936, in Malden, he married Roberta Poplin, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Guy and Judy Poplin of Bernie; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Tyler and Cindy Perkins of Bernie; and three great-grandsons, Dylan Perkins, Garrett Perkins and Evan Perkins, all of Bernie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Orris Perkins, Kenneth Perkins and Clarence Perkins.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. today at the Bernie Cemetery under the direction of Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Bernie.
