DEXTER - Pearl Hessling, 89, died Jan. 26, 2006, in the Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter.
Born Jan. 6, 1917, at Blytheville, Ark., daughter of the late Fred and Lena Allen Lucy, she was a homemaker and a member of the First General Baptist Church in Dexter.
On Dec. 26, 1936, at New Madrid, she was united in marriage to Gene Hessling, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: five sons, Ralph Hessling Jr., Ronnie Ray Hessling, Everett Hessling and Gary W. Hessling, all of Dexter and Gerald Hessling of Bloomfield; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: one daughter, Vonda Jean Hessling; four brothers, Richard Lucy, Ted Lucy, Jack Lucy and Fred "Pat" Lucey; and one sister, Ruby Lucy Blankenship.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, with the Rev. Kenneth Biggs officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
