CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Notre Dame's girls basketball team outscored visiting Farmington 23-13 in the second half to pull away for a 47-35 win on Monday. The Bulldogs improved to 5-7, including 1-2 against Farmington.

"I think more than anything we took care of the ball a little better," Notre Dame coach Jerry Grim said of the difference in Monday's meeting.

Clinging to a 24-22 lead at halftime, Notre Dame outscored Farmington 10-4 in the third quarter to gain a comfortable lead heading into the fourth quarter. Kristain Burger led Notre Dame with 18 points and Meridith Medlin added 14.

Jackson put nine players in the scoring column and won easily at home. The Indians remained undefeated and improved to 10-0. Bobbie Jones led Jackson with 18 points, Kylie Werner had 15 and Gabrielle Garritano added 12.

Perryville climbed over the .500 mark with a home win. The Pirates improved to 6-5 and 2-0 in the Jefferson County Conference. Krista Miesner led Perryville with 16 points, Amber Hacker had 14 and Bethany Steffens added 10.
