Below takes first in Elks Hoop Shoot

PERRYVILLE -- Blake Below, representing Sikeston at the Elks District Hoop Shoot Competition, sank 20 of 25 free throws to claim first place.

The Elks held the Southeast District Hoop Shoot Competition at Perryville High School on Saturday.

Below will represent Sikeston and the Southeast District at the Missouri State Championships in St. Louis on Saturday, Feb. 4.

Other Hoop Shoot qualifiers from the Sikeston area were Kody Moore, Jade Rampley, Darbe Backfisch, Jacob Wilson and Kristen Powell.

There are 11 Elks Lodges in the Southeast district.
