ELLISVILLE, Miss. -- Mr. and Mrs. Micheal Ray Sanford have announced the engagement of their daughter, Dr. Alice Jewel Sanford, to Lawrence Landon Steimle, son of Mr. and Mrs. E.P. Priggel of Portageville, Mo., and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Steimle of Wappapello, Mo.

A recent graduate of the University of Mississippi with a doctorate in mathematics, the future bride is currently the project manager of the National Science Foundation North Mississippi GK-8 Program at Ole Miss. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Author Grice of Seminary and the late J.W. Sanford and Mr. and Mrs. D. C. Sumrall.

The prospective bridegroom graduated with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering in 2002 and a Master of Business Administration in 2004 from the University of Mississippi. He is currently employed as an account manager for Mossy Oak Apparel Company in Atlanta, Ga. He is the grandson of Mildred LeGrand of Benton, Mo., Clara Steimle of New Hamburg, Mo., and the late Gilbert LeGrand and Chas Steimle.

Family and friends are invited to attend the 4 p.m. wedding ceremony Feb. 25 at Lowery Creek Baptist Church in Seminary with a reception to follow at the church.
