Chamber lists three winners

NEW MADRID - The names of three residents who will be among those honored at the New Madrid Chamber of Commerce's annual awards banquet have been announced. The banquet, which begins at 6 p.m. Feb. 4 with dinner served at 6:45 p.m., will be at Rebecca Sharp's Catering, 1325 Mill St. in New Madrid.

Each year the Chamber honors several of the community's outstanding individuals in the trade area.

The Business of the Year Award goes to a business that takes an active part in the community, strives to improve, has the desire to excel, has an excellent performance record and is a member of the Chamber. This year's Business of the Year Award will be presented to Harry Gremore of Edward Jones Investments.

The Community Service Award will be presented to Mark Kolwyck. This award is presented annually to one or more individuals who go out of their way to do good in the community.

Jimmy Harris is the recipient of this year's Public Service Award. Harris will be recognized for serving New Madrid in an outstanding way.

The Man or Woman of the Year Award goes to an individual recognized for outstanding achievements and contributions to the community. The name of the recipient will not be announced until the night of the banquet.

Also the evening will include entertainment by Madison Stewart, a 50/50 raffle and door prizes. The cost of the banquet is $17.50 per person.
