EAST PRAIRIE - Jeffy Dell Lowry, 60, died at 9:30 p.m. Oct. 10, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born July 9, 1945, in Big Sandy, Tenn., to the late O'Dell Jefferson and Mary Nadine Pierpoint Lowry, he had lived most of his life in Mississippi County where he worked as a farmer. He was affiliated with the Baptist Church.
On July 14, 1962, at Charleston, he married Pat Miller, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are: two daughters, Laura Gammons and Angie Henry of East Prairie; two sons, Jeffy Dell Lowry Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., and Brandon Wade Lowry of East Prairie; one brother, Ronnie Lowry of New Bern, Tenn.; six sisters, Anna Upchurch and Carrie Tripp of East Prairie, Carolyn Blair of Dyersburg, Tenn., Diane Pratt of Halls, Tenn., and Peggy Fowler and Sherry Stoneburner of New Bern, Tenn.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Thresa L. Lowry; one granddaughter, Rachel Henry; two brothers, Walter and Bobby Lowry; and one half-sister, Nella Dean Patrick.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday. Martin Lucas will officiate.
Burial will be in the East Prairie Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Scott, Tommy Hamblin, Ricky Parker, Ray Dorris, Bobby Tripp and Melvin Tripp.
