Vivian Smith

BLOOMFIELD -- Mary Vivian Mayo Smith, 90, died Nov. 29, 2005, at Beverly Healthcare in Bloomfield.

Born Dec. 23, 1914, in Idalia, daughter of the late John Oliver and Alta Kelly Alsup, she had spent her entire life in the Bloomfield community.

She was married to Ralph Charles Mayo, and he preceded her in death. She later married Raymond Smith, who also preceded her in death.

One son, Joe Mayo; one brother; and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one son, Jim Mayo of Bloomfield; three stepsons, Dan Smith of Grand Blanc, Mich., John Smith of Sun City, Ariz., and Jerry Smith of Mt. Morris, Mich.; and five grandchildren, eight stepgrandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield, where services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Dan Sitz will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
