Ella Mae Jackson

\EAST PRAIRIE -- Ella Mae Jackson, 72, died Nov. 29, 2005, at her home.

Born Oct. 14, 1933, in Crittenden County, Ky., she had lived over 57 years in Missouri and was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Wolf Island.

On Dec. 3, 1948, in Lake County, Tenn., she married Luther Jackson who preceded her in death March 8, 2004.

Two daughters, Janet Jackson and Rosie Jackson, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: two sons, Luther Jackson Jr. of Rockford, Ill., and Willie Jackson of Sikeston; four daughters, Barbara Griffin of Charleston, Evon Williams and Teresa Jackson of Sikeston and Patricia Jackson of East Prairie; two brothers, Charles Dickson of Springfield and James Dickson of East Prairie; one sister, Lula Bell Pritchard of East Prairie; and 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. Saturday until time of services at 2 p.m. at St. Matthews Baptist Church in Charleston with the Rev. Sylvester Davis officiating.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery at Charleston.

Williams Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
