Joe Sturgeon

EAST PRAIRIE -- Joe Howard Sturgeon, 65, died Dec. 16, 2005, at his home.

Born April 18, 1940, at Malden, son of the late Alfred Cleo and Helen Bowman Sturgeon, he was a retired farmer and construction worker, a member of the Masons and the Jaycees, and was of the Baptist belief.

He was also preceded in death by his former wife, Ruth Cave Sturgeon.

Survivors include: one son, Todd Quentin Sturgeon of East Prairie; two daughters, Leilia Johnson of East Prairie and Adreianna Hawkins of Imboden, Ark.; two grandchildren, Ashley Johnson of East Prairie and Kade Hawkins of Imboden; and a special friend, Danielle Cummins of East Prairie.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Saturday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday with Henry Foster officiating.

Burial will follow.
