CONRAN - Mildred Townsend, 78, died Oct. 25, 2005, at her residence.
Born Sept. 2, 1927, in Portageville, daughter of the late Carl and Dora Harp Ray, she was a member of the Portageville First Church of God.
On Aug. 8, 1947, in Piggott, Ark., she married Pete Townsend, who survives of the home.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by: two sons, Johnny Townsend of Marston and Ronnie Allen Townsend of New Madrid; two daughters, Marsha Christian of Portageville and Patricia Ann Townsend of Marston; one sister, Daisy Smith of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: two children, Donald Eugene Townsend and Melissa Sue Townsend, who died at birth; four brothers, Hubert Ray, A.M. Ray, Kennett Ray and Sonny Ray; and one sister, Margaret Martin.
Visitation is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday at the DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Church of God with Bob Kespler officiating.
Burial will follow at the Portageville Cemetery.
