SIKESTON -- A benefit auction for Laura Davis of Sikeston is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 2 in the Stafford Center at Tanner Street Church of God in Sikeston.

The hotdog/chili dinner will be from 5 to 7 p.m. The silent auction will be from 5 to 8 p.m., and the live auction will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Among items to be auctioned include two weekend trips to St. Louis -- one of which includes tickets to a St. Louis Blues hockey game; a weekend trip to Columbia with Mizzou tickets; a two-night stay in Branson; a 16-foot Tandem trailer; a 27-inch color TV; autographed hats from Kansas City Royals baseball players; a baseball bat autographed by former St. Louis Cardinal Mark McGuire; a John Deere tractor; restaurant gift certificates; other gift certificates and lots more.

Co-workers of Davis' mother-in-law, Rosemary Latham, who works at SEMO Title in Sikeston, as well as other family and friends are organizing the benefit.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased prior to the event at SEMO Title, 217 S. Kingshighway, in Sikeston, or they can be purchased at the door.
