~63rd American Legion Cotton carnival Parade

Sunny weather drew one of the Cotton Carnival parade's largest crowds ever Saturday morning. Above: People line Malone Avenue and prepare to grab candy as the floats pass. Right:?Two people attempt to catch a stuffed bear as it was thrown from a float. This year's parade theme was Honoring Military Special Forces and Cotton Industries. Traveling down Malone Avenue, the parade is one of the largest in the state. Saturday marked the end of the five-day event held at the Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo Grounds.
