ADVANCE -- Virginia Walker, 72, died April 23, 2006, at Advance Nursing Center.

Born Sept. 15, 1933, in Bell City, daughter of the late John and Mollie Schrock Wallace, she was a cable tester for Horizon Co. in Advance and was of the Baptist belief.

On May 19, 1957, in Morley, she married Norman Walker.

Survivors include: one son, James T. Walker of Advance; two daughters, Norma Helbling of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and Edith Back of Reed Springs; two brothers, Estle Beuhler of Vanduser and Bill Wallace of St. Louis; three sisters, Mildred McIntyre of Advance, Marie Hume of Bakersville, Calif., and Betty Kilhaner of Shorewood, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, two brothers and two sisters.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, where services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Wayne Cagle will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
