Kenneth Gore

EAST PRAIRIE - Kenneth R. Gore, 56, died at 4:36 a.m. April 24, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Jan. 22, 1950, in Sikeston, to Imogene Gore of East Prairie and the late Loren Alfred Gore Sr., he lived most of his life in East Prairie where he was employed by Bryant Farms. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Vietnam War.

On Sept. 2, 1974, he married Kathie F. Skirvin who preceded him in death on May 3, 2001.

Survivors include: three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ronald Wayne Gore, Loren Alfred and Lori Gore Jr. and Daniel Keith and Sandi Gore of East Prairie; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Judith and Brooks Lee Griggs of Kingsport, Tenn., Glenda Faye and Ricky Wilburn, Dorothy Pauline and Jerry Tinnin and Tammy Lynn and William Marcum of East Prairie; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Nelson of East Prairie; and maternal stepgrandmother, Maggie Lumsden of Bono, Ark.

Visitation is at 6 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Rob Kespelher will officiate.

Burial with full military rites provided by the Veterans Funeral Honors Program will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
