ST. CHARLES - Lee A. "Dick" Martin, 85, formerly of Dexter, died Oct. 27, 2005, in the Mark Twain Manor at Bridgeton.

Born Oct. 2, 1920, in Dexter, son of the late John C. and Maude Ice Martin, he was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Dexter. He was the former owner of Martin Brothers Service Station and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

On Aug. 27, 1940, at Piggott, Ark., he married Anna Marie Baker who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by: two daughters, Patricia Ann Schott of Belleville, Ill., and Brenda Ward of St. Peters; and three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Milo Martin, Russell Martin and Clyde Martin, and one sister, Helen Daniel.

Visitation is from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Vaughn Wright officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
