Charles Royal

MALDEN - Charles Ollen Royal, 85, formerly of Sikeston and East Prairie, died July 24, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born July 4, 1921, in Sikeston, son of the late Floyd Ollen and Flora Agnes Morrison Royal, he was a banker and realtor. He was a current co-owner and real estate agent for Royal Realty of Southeast Missouri and a member of the Chamber of Commerce and the United Methodist Church in Malden. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Forces.

On Nov. 10, 1942, in Charleston, he was united in marriage to Eugenia Lee Adkison, who survives.

Other survivors include: four daughters and one son-in-law, Sharon Lloyd of Quincy, Ill., Connie and Andy Hess of Sikeston and Marilyn Douglas and Charla Royal both of Malden; one sister, four grandchildren, Andrea Hess, Drew Hess, Chelsea Royal Lloyd, and Carlian "Corky" Weegram; four great-

grandchildren, special nephews, Ron Adkison of the state of California and Bruce Adkison of East Prairie; and special family friends, Fred Schmittler and Jack Becker of Malden.

He was preceded in death by: one brother; one granddaughter, Stephanie Paige Hess and a son-in-law, Ron Lloyd.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Robert McNabb will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
