DEXTER -- Don Edmond Harris, 91, died July 25, 2006, in the Cypress Point Health Care at Dexter.
Born July 8, 1915, in Clarksville, Ark., son of the late Robert (Bobby) and Effie Pearson Harris, he was a farmer, resident of Dexter, and member of the Morehouse Masonic Lodge where he has served as worshipful master.
On April 1, 1938, in Matthews, he married Opal Martin, who died on March 9, 1983.
One son, Larry Donald Harris, three brothers and his long-time companion, Bonnie Schindler, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: one daughter, Judy Lewis of Atoka, Tenn.; two sisters, Earla Harris of Matthews and Edberdean Cowger of Sikeston; and five granddaughters, seven great-granddaughters and one great-grandson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Don Cooper officiating.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
