CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Rev. Paul E. Montgomery, 73, died March 25, 2006, at Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born Nov. 29, 1932, in Gideon, Mo., son of the late John Silas and Charity Mae Kiefer Montgomery, he was a retired minister, member of the Shamrock Drive Baptist Church, taught first and second grade Sunday school for 17 years, and had served as pastor for the Black River General Baptist Church in Broseley, Mo. ...

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Rev. Paul E. Montgomery, 73, died March 25, 2006, at Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born Nov. 29, 1932, in Gideon, Mo., son of the late John Silas and Charity Mae Kiefer Montgomery, he was a retired minister, member of the Shamrock Drive Baptist Church, taught first and second grade Sunday school for 17 years, and had served as pastor for the Black River General Baptist Church in Broseley, Mo. He received an A.B.S. Degree from Oakland State University and a Master of Divinity Degree for Southeastern Theological Seminary. After nine years of service, he retired from UPS Customer Service.

On Feb. 13, 1986, at Charlotte, he married Freda Honeycutt who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: five brothers, Bill Montgomery of Paducah, Ky., Breman Montgomery, Hollis Montgomery and Sam Montgomery of Dexter, Mo., and Robert Montgomery of St. Charles, Mo.; and one sister, Joann Golden of Malden, Mo.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rainey-
