PUXICO - Toni Evans, 47, died July 5, 2006, at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born March 15, 1959, in Dexter, daughter of the late Clifton S. and Lydia Lois Crank Leirer, she and her husband were the former owners of B.J.'s III in Puxico. She had worked as a sales representative and plant manager with Waupaca Materials in Sikeston. A graduate of Bloomfield High School, she had attended Southeast Missouri State University for two years and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Puxico, the Puxico VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 7825 and the Puhicah Club of Puxico.

On Oct. 6, 1979, in Bloomfield, she married Eldon Evans, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Josh Evans of St. Louis; one daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Mark Christian of Thompsons Station, Tenn.; three brothers, Glen L. Leirer of Panama City Beach, Fla., Walter L. Leirer of Destin, Fla. and Richard Wayne Leirer of Carmel, Ind.; five sisters, Dora Bailey of Fort Worth, Texas, Ann Lewis of Puxico, Pat Wilcox of Springfield, Fay Robertson of Perryville and Lydia K. Leirer of Kansas City; and one grandson.

Visitation is at 4 p.m. Friday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Dennis Doublin of Puxico will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery near Puxico.
