Dorothy Lashmet

SIKESTON -- Dorothy E. Lashmet, 82, died Jan. 19, 2008, at Clearview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Sikeston.

Born Jan. 22, 1925, in Barry County, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Richard C. and Katherine McIntyre.

On Sept. 13, 1946, she married Fred Lashmet who preceded her in death in November 1987.

She was preceded in death by one son, John Lashmet, in January 2006.

Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Linda Lashmet of Sikeston, Jim and Violet Lashmet of Scott City and Robert and Janet Lashmet of Springfield; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from noon until time of services at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Ponder Funeral Home with the Rev. James Barnhart, associate pastor of Miner Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
