POPLAR BLUFF -- Lelah Medley, 51, died Jan. 19, 2008, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center after a short fight with cancer.
Born July 2, 1956, in Poplar Bluff, to the late Willie "Bill" and Bonnie Hicks Medley, she had lived her entire life in Poplar Bluff where she was a member of the Second Baptist Church and volunteered for many church activities. She worked in purchasing at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for 31 years.
Survivors include: one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Debbie Medley of Poplar Bluff; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Ruby and Glen Speer of Ft. Worth, Texas, Reba King and Clelah and Cecil Bradley of Poplar Bluff, Penny and Ed Muniz of Barnhart and Lula and Bobby McDonald of Baton Rouge, La.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the Second Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Luther Abbott of Grandin will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dudley Cemetery with the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
