Negri-Hux

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. -- Mr. and Mrs. Peter Negri of Garden City have announced the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Negri, to Matthew Hux, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Hux of Sikeston, Mo.

A 1996 graduate of Garden City High School, the future bride received a Bachelor of Science in special education from Boston College in 2000 and a Master of Science in occupational therapy from Washington University in St. Louis in 2007. She is currently employed with United Services in St. Peters, Mo.

The prospective bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of Sikeston High School. He received his Bachelor of Arts in communications from Boston College in 2000 and a master's degree in architecture from Tulane University in 2006. He is an architect with Ebersoldt and Underwood in St. Louis.

The couple will marry in May in Garden City.
