SIKESTON -- A Sikeston woman was killed early Sunday morning as a result of a single-vehicle accident. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the vehicle occurred around 5 a.m. Sunday. Kierstie L. Elmos, 21, of Sikeston, was traveling southbound on County Road 427, two miles south of Morley, as her vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned. When officials arrived, they found Elmos' body was partially ejected out the passenger window...

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the vehicle occurred around 5 a.m. Sunday. Kierstie L. Elmos, 21, of Sikeston, was traveling southbound on County Road 427, two miles south of Morley, as her vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned. When officials arrived, they found Elmos' body was partially ejected out the passenger window.

Elmos was pronounced dead at the scene by Scott County Coroner Scott Amick.
