SIKESTON - Trying for a split spare and to split the sides of the crowd, the SeMo Shrine Clowns rolled along in the Bowl For Kids, a Big Brother-Big Sister's benefit conducted Saturday at Imperial Lanes. Larry Bohannon, director of the organization, said $5,7000 in pledges were made and approximately 230 people participated.

EAST PRAIRIE - Members of the Southeast Area Twirlers attended the 1997 Marching Auxiliaries of America summer camp June 17-20 at East Prairie High School. Honors and awards received included three superior trophies and two grand champion trophies.

BENTON - Mary Beth Nall showed first-year teacher Starla Hupp the computer in her classroom. The classroom was the first room Nall taught in when she began teaching. Hupp and several new teachers were given a tour of the Kelly School building during new teacher orientation on Tuesday.

SAN ANTONIO - Air Force Airman James O. Tittle has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base. He is the son of James L. Tittle of Lilbourn, Mo., and Sheila K. Frala of New Madrid, Mo.
