ADVANCE - Myra May Bynum McElmurry, 96, formerly of Scott City, died at 12:10 a.m. July 13, 2007, at the Advance Nursing Center.
Born Feb. 15, 1911, at Morley, to the late Earley and Lollie May Bynum, she lived most of her life in Scott City, where she was a member of the First Baptist Church at Scott City. In 1997 she moved to Advance.
On Sept. 27, 1937, she married Harry Ray McElmurry, who preceded her in death on Aug. 16, 1981.
Also preceding her in death were one son, Harry Lynn McElmurry, two brothers and one sister.
Surviving are: one son and daughter-in-law, Frank Alan "Buddy" and Arlinda McElmurry of Jackson; one daughter, Marilyn Kay Pickett of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; four grandchildren, Darren Pickett and Sherri Pickett of Ft. Lauderdale, Craig McElmurry of Piedmont and Keith McElmurry of Scott City and four great-
grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Graveside rites will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
