NEW MADRID -- Following a nearly six-month investigation, a Marston woman was arrested Thursday for the murder of her husband.

Rosetta Wyatt, 50, was charged with felony murder in the second degree and armed criminal action for the June 27 shooting death of her 61-year-old husband, Andrew "Ralph" Wyatt Sr., said New Madrid County Sheriff Terry Stevens on Thursday.

According to reports, New Madrid County Sheriff's Department received a call from Mrs. Wyatt about 5:22 p.m. June 27 stating that her husband had been shot. When law enforcement authorities arrived at the couple's home located on the south side of Marston, Wyatt was found dead in the hallway with a gunshot wound to his chest.
