DEXTER -- William James "Jim" Gunn, 83, died Feb. 4, 2008, at his daughter's home in Jackson.
Born Dec. 4, 1924, in St. Louis, to the late William and Effie Swan Gunn, he had lived most of his live in Dexter where he was a charter member of the First Pentecostal Church.
On Oct. 18, 1946, in Piggott, Ark., he married Lottie Mae Clark who preceded him in death on Nov. 20, 2005.
One sister, Willene Gunn, and one granddaughter, Rebekah Hughes, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Richard Bregenzer of Pinehurst, Texas, and Susan and James Hughes of Jackson; two brothers, Marion Gunn of Florissant and Kenneth Gunn of St. Louis; four sisters, Dorothy Cook of Advance, Norma Smith of Puxico, Nadine Wray of St. Louis and June Dixon of Kansas City, Kan.; and six grandchildren and 10 great-
grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Charleston. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Pentecostal Church in Dexter. The Revs. Robert Bentley of St. Louis, Ronnie Brown of Jackson and Joseph Geuin of Dexter will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Dexter.
