EAST PRAIRIE -- Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Britt will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary during a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. March 24 at the East Prairie Full Gospel Church.
Hosting the reception are the couple's son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Lisa Britt; and grandchildren.
Britt and the former Imogene Johnson were married March 30, 1957, at the home of Britt's sister and brother-in-law, the Rev. and Mrs. Johnny and Earline Bell, at 34 Corner. Attendants were Carolyn Johnson Stockman and Weldon "Corky" Britt.
The couple have been residents of East Prairie their entire married life. Britt retired from Missouri Department of Transportation and Mrs. Britt is retired from Missouri Department of Family Services.
The couple request gifts be omitted from the occasion.
