MALDEN -- Charles King George, 82, died March 21, 2007, at Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter.

Born Feb. 17, 1925, at Rombaur, son of the late Tillman Howard and Minnie Mae Stage George, he was a member of the Malden Church of Christ and the Disabled American Veterans. A U.S. Navy veteran, he served during World War II.

On Oct. 31, 1947, at Piggott, Ark., he married Iola Myrline Blocker who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: four sons, Rex Lee George of Sikeston, John George of Imperial, Brian George of Malden and Charles George Arnold of Lakeland, Fla.; two daughters, Linda Naguib of Godfrey, Ill., and Terry Artrip of Hillsboro; and 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Tonya Kay George; one brother, John X. George; and one sister, Gladys Holtzhouser.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. today at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ in Malden. David McElwain will officiate.

Burial with full military rites will follow in Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Clarkton.
