Grimes-Felter

BENTON -- Perry and Kim Grimes of Nacogdoches, Texas, have announced the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Michelle Grimes, to Douglas Gerard Felter of Bettendorf, Iowa. He is the son of Zeno "Sam" and Jolene Felter of Benton.

The future bride received a bachelor of science degree in animal science from Texas Tech University in 2005, and is pursuing a master of science degree in meat science at the University of Nebraska.

Felter received a bachelor of science degree in agricultural systems management from the University of Missouri in 2003 and a master of science in agronomy from the University of Nebraska in 2005. He is a senior sales and service representative with John Deere in Moline, Ill.

An Oct. 6 wedding is planned in Nacogdoches.
