HERLONG, Calif. - Marion "Doug" Triplett, 46, died March 26, 2007, in Gasconade County, Mo.
Born March 4, 1961 in Dexter, Mo., son of Shirley Lee Simmons Triplett of Grayridge, Mo., and the late Marion Norman Triplett, he graduated from Richland High School in 1979 and attended Three Rivers Community College for two years. In 1989, he graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in law enforcement at National University and went on to Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Mo., for his master's degree. He served in the U.S. Marines, as well as a former officer of the law in various areas of the country.
Survivors include two brothers, Norman "Greg" Triplett of Marion, Ill., and Gary Stevens Triplett of St. Ann, Mo; by one niece, Jennifer Nichole Triplett of Marion; three nephews, Gary Ethan Triplett and Connor Alexander of St. Ann, Mo., and Dakota Gregory Triplett of Marion; and two uncles and four aunts.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Princessa Lee Triplett.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with the Rev. LeRoy Williams officiating.
