Trevino low medalist for SHS

NEW MADRID -- Sikeston traveled to the New Madrid Country Club for the opening match of the season with the Eagles and the Green Wave of Malden in a tri-meet event. Sikeston was not at full strength but sophomore Dakota Trevino was medalist for the event with a 5 over par 41.

"We have had a number of golfers out with the flu and two varsity golfers were in the state finals for DECA," said Sikeston coach Rick Oetting.

The Eagles won on their home course with a 179 followed by Sikeston's 184 and Malden's 205. The team will have a busy week coming up starting with the Notre Dame Tournament at Bent Creek Monday.
