SIKESTON -- Maria Antonita Lawson, 83, died July 27, 2007, at her home.
Born May 11, 1923, in Rome, Italy, daughter of the late Antonio and Marie Deri Egidi, she was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston.
On Oct. 14, 1945, in Foggia, Italy, she married Billie Charles Lawson, who preceded her in death on Aug. 4, 2002.
Two brothers, Emelio Egidi and Aldo Egidi; and one sister, Luisa Egidi, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Lisa Lawson of Sikeston; one grandson and his spouse, Andrew and Marcie Lawson of Sikeston; and one granddaughter, Stephanie Lawson of Sikeston.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. Parish prayers will be at 7 p.m. with rosary to follow. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with the Rev. Scott Sunnenberg officiating.
Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield.
