MORLEY - Ava Allene Emerson, 93, died at 5:30 a.m. July 29, 2007, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.
Born Oct. 27, 1913, at Maynard, Ark., to the late Alph and Gussie Johnston Evans, she was a homemaker.
On Jan. 21, 1939, at Blytheville, Ark., she married Jim Mac Emerson, who preceded her in death on April 5, 1991.
One son, one brother, three sisters and one grandchild also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one daughter, Reda Ann Frohock of Bridgeton; one brother, Sid Evans of Afton; and five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Bill Bradley will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Old Morley Cemetery.
