CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Larry J. Hale, 70, died July 27, 2007, at St. Francis Medical Center. Born Aug. 12, 1936, in Vanduser, son of the late Herbert R. and Cassie D. Andrews Hale, he was a graduate of Morley High School. He had been a salesman for Heartland Distributing Co. for 15 years and after his retirement he drove a bus for First Student Transportation and was a driver for Cape County Transit Authority. CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Larry J. Hale, 70, died July 27, 2007, at St. Francis Medical Center.

Born Aug. 12, 1936, in Vanduser, son of the late Herbert R. and Cassie D. Andrews Hale, he was a graduate of Morley High School. He had been a salesman for Heartland Distributing Co. for 15 years and after his retirement he drove a bus for First Student Transportation and was a driver for Cape County Transit Authority. He was a member of Red Star Baptist Church and Eagles Aerie No. 3775.

On Jan. 5, 1957, in Hernando, Miss., he married Della Barnes, who preceded him in death on June 14, 1994.

Survivors include: one son, Mike Hale of Warren, Mich.; one daughter, Debbie Hamilton of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Paul Hale of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Kathie Crader of Bald Knob, Ark. and Sue Sherry of Collinsville, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

Services were today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Todd Greer officiating.

Burial followed at Cape County Memorial Park.
