Strengths

Five players returning with varsity experience, led by Jenni DeWitt who was 22-3 as a singles competitor in 2006 and finished fourth at the Class 1 MSHSAA Girls Tennis State Tournament ... Coach Lynn DeWitt said the Lady Bulldogs have improved by playing tennis this summer and bring a strong work ethic to practice.

------

Weaknesses

It may take Sikeston a while to find a cohesive, consistent lineup. Until then, the Lady Bulldogs may struggle to win dual meets, even though each player continues to show individual improvement on the tennis court.

------

Outlook

Sikeston will be trying to end its losing streak of at least 17 consecutive dual meets ... Despite going 0-for-the-2006-season, the Lady Bulldogs believe extra tennis played by Jenni DeWitt, Megan Underhill and Danielle Ahlfield this summer will translate into victories during the fall prep season.

------

Strengths

The whole top half of the varsity lineup ... Improvement has been made in the doubles matches ... Dooley could possibly win state individual title. ------

Weaknesses

Some players have no match experience at all ... Kinchen, as a freshmen, has no game experience, but has picked up the game quickly.

------

Outlook

Dexter is almost guaranteed at least three wins in every match with Dooley's and Heil's singles matches and with their doubles match ... Lovelady would like to see Dooley win the state title, or place very high ... Lovelandy wants an overall winning season for the team.
