SIKESTON -- Florence Evelyn Winkler, 78, died at 3 a.m. Sept. 30, 2006, at the Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Born June 3, 1928, in Portageville, daughter of the late Jim and Ethel Workman Hughey, she had been a teacher for Portageville Schools.
On July 3, 2002, in Sikeston, she married Bud Winkler who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, James Henry Workman III of Maryville, Tenn., and Gary Michael Page of Columbia; five daughters, Janet Lynn Kaseta of Satellite Beach, Fla., Debbie Pitcher and Pam Caldwell of Cairo, Ill., Angela Thomas of Metropolis, Ill., and Kirsten Winkler of Anna, Ill.; one brother, Drew Hughey of Blytheville, Ark.; one sister, Mildred Ray of Portageville; and two grandchildren.
Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of memorial services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hunter Memorial First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. John Goodman, pastor, will officiate.
Nunnelee Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
